Triple Event Series winner parkrun have partnered with The 2018 Running Awards to present the Innovation in Running Award at the ceremony at the O2 on April 19th 2018.
This is one of the few Special Awards of the night and recognises exceptional innovation in the running community such as the Highgate Harriers Night of the 10,000m PBs, which revolutionised the approach to professional 10K competitions in 2017. In 2016 GoodGym took home the award for their work combining fitness with helping the local community across the UK.
The award-winning parkrun, now such an integral part of the whole running community feel it is time to ‘pass the baton’ by presenting the Best Event Series award and withdrawing from the category. This gives us a fantastic chance to explore the wealth of diverse series that always hotly contest the shortlist! Do help your favourites with your free vote here.
