We are proud to announce that we will be supporting the charity CLIC Sargent throughout the remainder of The Running Awards 2014!
We will now endeavour to raise awareness and money for this important cause through a series of campaigns concluding with raising money for them at The Running Awards 2014 on 11th April at the 5-star Grange St Pauls Hotel in London. Here the best across the running industry will be announced during an awards gala (click here to vote for your favourites), throughout which we will support CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. They are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement. Ruth Bowen, Running Events Manager at CLIC Sargent, said this morning: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been voted Runners Favourite Charity at The Running Awards 2014! We really value everyone who pulls on their trainers and takes on a run for CLIC Sargent to help children and young people with cancer, and their families. We support thousands of dedicated and enthusiastic runners every year, from the moment they sign up to crossing that finish line and beyond, and to be recognised for this support is fantastic. A big thank you to everyone who voted for CLIC Sargent as their favourite charity to run for – we’re really proud and are looking forward to raising awareness and funds for CLIC Sargent at the awards evening in April.”
CLIC Sargent narrowly beat the 11 other shortlisted charities to receive the most votes and confirm their place as the Runners Favourite! We’d like to congratulate them on beating stiff competition from a range of amazing causes such as:
