The Running Awards returns to indigo at The O2 in London on Thursday 19th April 2018, for its fifth anniversary celebration of all things running.
The prestigious awards ceremony welcomes hundreds of A-list sport industry figures as well as key members of the running community and press to witness the best in the industry, as independently voted for by runners, receive the sought-after Running Awards trophies.
From the running public’s nominations and votes, The Running Awards creates a definitive, unbiased list for runners to consult for their every need. From Events and Communities to Shoes, Clothing, Nutrition, Technology, Charities and more, runners can vote for free in a variety of categories in order to identify the best in running each year.
Nominations and voting for The Running Awards open in September and a shortlist of the top 12 in each category will be released in December (exact dates to be confirmed shortly). Voting then re-opens until the spring to find the top three in each category.
The winners are announced on the night of The Running Awards, just three days before the Virgin Money London Marathon and a perfect precursor to the most anticipated weekend of running in the capital.
Once voting is open, runners and consumers are invited to nominate and vote for their favourite running products, brands, publications, sports retailers, charities and events online. Voting is free, quick and easy, requiring only a name and email address.
Further details, including the opening of seat and table bookings, will be released shortly.
The ceremony has earned itself a reputation for being the event of the year for the running industry, and before the awards ceremony gets underway guests enjoy a glamorous drinks reception and three-course fine dining. Popular presenter and keen sportsman Mike Bushell will return to host the event.

After nearly 100,000 votes from the running public, the results were in at 10pm on Thursday 20th April. Mike Bushell was on hand again to oversee the proceedings at the O2 in London with the help of several guest presenters including Dame Kelly Holmes and Susie Chan to award the very best across the industry!
